While president Jean-Michel Aulas said yesterday on RTL that the game is back to face Juventus Turin in the eighth-final of the champions League was set at on 7 August, the club held to change this date by publishing a press release.
This date is still not known and will be fixed soon by UEFA, who will announce itself. “Olympique Lyonnais clarifies that the date of the match Joventus-OL, accounting for the eighth of finale return of League of champions, has not yet been set definitely in contrast to what has been previously reported,” says the club.
The club took the opportunity to regret once again the inequity of the situation: Juventus is going to resume the championship and should therefore be better prepared than the French club: “The OL regret, however, to have to struggle with a preparation different from that of its european competitors, who have for the most part, already resumed training”.
