Juventus have confirmed Fabio Paratici’s departure amid claims that the sporting director has fans at Tottenham Hotspur, according to the club’s official website.
Coincidence? Or is there something more intriguing at play here?
Tuttosport said Wednesday morning that Spurs are on the trail of a 48-year-old who has collected trophy after trophy in Turin, his arrival in 2010 coinciding with a period of unprecedented national dominance.
A few hours later, Paratici was gone, his departure announced in the wake of Juventus’ worst domestic campaign in a decade.

Paving the way for Antonio Conte?
Could that ‘new challenge’ see Paratici take on a sporting director role on a Tottenham team clamoring for direction and leadership after an utter one-season disaster, on and off the pitch?
Just to add another beard-stroking subplot to an already interesting scenario, Paratici has close ties to two of the managers who have been heavily tied to the Spurs’ vacant position in recent weeks.

Paratici won three Serie A titles alongside Antonio Conte between 2012 and 2014, and the club’s dominance continued under the one-man winning machine that is Masimilliano Allegri.
The news of Paratici’s departure has also had a rather mixed response from Juventus fans.
The wisdom of paying record club dues for an aging Gonzalo Higuain and Cristiano Ronaldo has been challenged as cash-strapped Juventus increasingly drift away from the European elite, while players like Dejan Kulusevski, Weston McKennie and Arthur have not. They lived up to expectations during difficult debut seasons at Allianz Stadium.
