“The closing of the Russian Church in Sofia is part of the context of the global conflict between the West and the East. During war, everything becomes a victim of the main goal. Such is the logic of war – black and white, without nuances, without compromises and scruples.”

Prof. Ivo Hristov commented this before the BNR.

And he added that the entire Bulgarian political history – since the Inter-Allied War, proves that:

“Bulgaria is not a factor in anything, it has no backbone, it has no opinion of its own, its political class has always had a servile mentality. So don’t expect what is happening in Poland, Hungary, Romania or Slovakia to happen. The tradition of sticking to – the strong, as it seems to us, always prevails in the specific military-political conjuncture”.

In his words, the world is entering an ever-increasing acceleration of turbulence:

“And it is dominated by the US and its clientele. The new opponents of this order – China, Russia, India – will become increasingly stronger. When the forces are rearranged, the former hegemon makes it clear that he will stop at nothing to to maintain the status quo”.

In the program “Politically INCORRECT” Prof. Hristov commented that the current governance of Bulgaria is determined by the external factor.

“We are seeing further destruction of the fragile institutional culture. We are seeing the continuation of the trends of demographic, economic, political, mental collapse of this country. Our country’s time is running out.”

According to him, at the regional level, with the exception of Sofia, the results of the local elections are predetermined:

“The fat lungs are the ones that move the heroes in the field of politics. Sofia is a big bite, and it also has a symbolic moment.”

Prof. Hristov did not rule out the possibility that next year’s European vote will coincide with early parliamentary elections.

Regarding the president and his possible future project, he stated:

“His strength lies in the fact that he is both present and rises above the political swamp. But the moment he enters operational politics, he will become part of it and all the dirt of Bulgarian political life will stick to him and drag him to the bottom. It should be a political factor without entering into operational politics”.
