Before the World Cup final, Marco Odermatt, with a big grin on his face, recounts a dream of his father and divulges how Roger Federer congratulated him after the World Cup downhill.
Marco Odermatt is the overall World Cup winner before the last races in Soldeu. For him, the focus is now on chasing Hermann Maier’s age-old record. The Austrian’s 2000 World Cup points from the 1999/2000 season are within reach for the Swiss. He has already collected 1826 points this season.
The first opportunity to get closer to the record is already on Wednesday in the downhill. In the interview at the beginning of the article, Odermatt also talks about how he deals with pressure situations.
