The Clientis network posts stable half-year profit

Citing a “difficult environment”, the network of regional banks, led by Andreas Buri, refuses to establish figures for the whole year.

The fourteen banks making up the Clientis network posted a perfectly stable cumulative net profit over one year in the first half of the year, at CHF 27.1 million. The basis of comparison has been adjusted to reflect the departure at 1is last January of Bank Aveva.

Operating profit marginally eroded from 0.4% to 86.8 million, despite an increase of 1.2% to 66.6 million in net profit from interest operations, details the interim report released Friday. The decline of more than 13% in other ordinary results to 7.6 million is attributed in particular to the drop in stock prices in the first quarter. Operating costs swelled from a hundred thousand francs to 48.3 million.

Customer deposits increased 6.7% to 9.04 billion, while customer loans increased 2.5% to 10.03 billion, including 9.4 billion in the form of mortgages. The balance sheet amounted 7.4% to $ 12.95 billion.

Citing a “difficult environment”, the group refuses to establish figures for the year as a whole.

The Clientis establishments have granted as part of the federal support program to small and medium-sized enterprises affected by the containment measures some 900 loans, for a total amount of 90 million.
