The Civil Guard surprised a 92-year-old man this past weekend fishing for frogs in a risky ditch in the municipality of Laguna Dalga, in the Páramo region. It is a species whose capture is prohibited, so the agents have proposed that the corresponding sanction be processed. It was a Civil Guard patrol that discovered the man fishing for frogs from his own vehicle with a telescopic rod and special gear to capture the amphibians. Hanging from the rear-view mirror, there was a cloth bag with 69 still-living frogs that were returned to the water.
