The Civil Guard helps a semi-conscious minor under 4 years old | SER Castro Urdiales

The Civil Traffic Guard has assisted a child under 4 years of age who he was semi-conscious in the car in which he was traveling with his parents after choking while eating. As reported by the armed institute, the events took place on the afternoon of last 12, when a Laredo detachment patrol that served at the exit of kilometer 145 of the A-8 saw a passenger stop from which a woman got out screaming and asking for help.

They removed the child immediately and while one held him face down, the other carried out the ‘Heimlich’ maneuver, getting him to expel a small piece of food that obstructed his respiratory tube, thus avoiding his suffocation.

Minutes later, he arrived at the place a mobile ICU that transferred the child to the Castro Urdiales Health Center.
