The Civil Guard has neutralized eight illegal parties and social gatherings of non-cohabiting people in different locations on the islands of Mallorca and Ibiza during this weekend, in which it has denounced 266 people and a security company for failing to comply with anti-virus measures.
Among the festivities, the one held in Sant Josep de Sa Talaia during this morning stands out. The agents intervened in an illegal party that concentrated more than 140 people inside a villa in Ibiza. The assistants parked their vehicles around a soccer field, which was the concentration point.
It was a party in which their access and assistance were marketed. In addition, the windows were covered with mattresses, to try to soundproof the music and avoid being seen.
The organizers had hired a private security service, which guarded the mobile phones of the attendees at the entrance of the party.
In total, 147 people have been identified, who will be reported with a fine of up to 60,000 euros.
It has not been the only party intervened during the weekend. The Civil Guard intervened in other unauthorized social gatherings held in different locations on the islands of Mallorca and Ibiza.
Last Friday a total of 38 people were denounced for participating in a meeting in Sant Josep de Sa Talaia. The assistants had placed stones in the road to prevent access.
Also on Friday afternoon a group of 16 people was identified and reported. The Sóller Lighthouse was assembled, whose access had been cut off by placing a fault signaling triangle, simulating the prohibition of access.
It also highlights that last Saturday afternoon, 3 yachts anchored in Portal Vells were identified, on board of which an illegal party was being held. Several of the attendees left the place on jet skis. The yacht owners will be denounced not only for non-compliance with the COVID-19 regulations but also for having anchored in a posidonia meadow.
