The city of Volnovakha in Donetsk region actually no longer exists due to the war Russia vs Ukraine. Most of the population evacuatedbut the infrastructure was completely destroyed by the invaders.

About this March 12 declared Head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration Pavel Kirilenko.

According to him, the Volnovakha district before the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation had over 100,000 inhabitants.

“Of course, most of them were evacuated, so I’m talking about this, that Volnovakha with its infrastructure as such a city no longer exists. The battles go beyond the territory in order to prevent the enemy from closing the ring and achieving tactical and strategic plans,” he said.
