The move is imminent. From Monday 15 to Saturday 20 November, the operation of the one-stop shop for the City of Chartres and Chartres Métropole, located on Boulevard Chasles, will experience disruptions. The site, launched in September 2015, has accumulated delays. Initially, the buildings designed by the architect Jean-Michel Wilmotte should have been delivered in September 2017. Bad weather and technical hazards have accumulated on this atypical and technical construction. The Covid crisis has not helped. The cost of the work has been revised upwards and now stands at € 47 million excluding tax, according to the City.
The City called on an independent laboratory to solve the problem of smoke evacuation in the event of a fire.
“Following the recommendations of this laboratory, we did some work in October to ensure that the fumes are evacuated more quickly in the event of a fire. We’re ready. “
