The Municipality of Dunakeszi spends a significant amount of its annual budget on the maintenance and pothole repair of city-maintained roads. In addition, the city also devotes its own resources to the development of Dunakeszi’s traffic road network and the construction of state-maintained roads, traffic junctions, and roundabouts in order to provide safe and cultured service to motorists.
A good example of this is the reconstruction of a traffic junction with a zebra crossing and street lighting on the border of Dunakeszi Alsó and Káposztá Megyer, or the construction of the Kossuth utca-Széchenyi utca roundabout, which was handed over last year and resulted in a significant positive change in local traffic. But the examples could be listed for a long time, among which there were those when the plans for the reconstruction of the state-maintained roads were prepared by the municipality, so that Magyar Közút Zrt.
In today’s Facebook post, deputy mayor Dávid Sipos writes that employees of Penta Kft. pothole the roads maintained by the municipality. The politician notes – in response to the continuous comments and criticisms of the public – that the city forwards on a weekly basis the public notifications regarding the state-maintained roads (Kossuth, Fóti, Fő út, Szent István, Bajcsy, Rév út).
“According to our hopes, progress will soon be made in the latter as well,” concludes Deputy Mayor Dávid Sipos.
