The City Council of Ourense repeats the book gift campaign among minors in the city and this time it is expanding it to reach 10,000 children and adolescents between 0 and 18 years old included, 2,500 more than in the previous edition, who will be able to collect their gift at any of the city’s bookstores.
The amount of the gift is 20 euros, so the difference must be paid by the beneficiary. The mayor, Gonzalo Pérez Jácome, stresses that this initiative is good because it encourages reading while “boosting commerce.” The initiative, like last year, will take place during the summer, at the end of the school year.
