Oschgen
Above a new solar system, below a new water pipeline: the executive has requested two loans from the municipality
The city council of Oeschgen wants to promote renewable energies. At the community assembly he asks for a loan of 110,000 francs to build a photovoltaic system in the center of the community. The sewage network and water supply in Hohlenweg will be expanded by CHF 285’000.
The Oeschger city council requested two pledge credits from the city meeting on Friday, November 18. Among other things, for the installation of a photovoltaic system on the roof of the community centre. The message to the community assembly reads:
“According to the solar cadastre, the suitability on the roof of the community center is excellent.”
The project coincides with the vision from 2022 to 2025, in which the city council agreed, among other things, to promote renewable energies.
An average of 7,500 kilowatt-hours (kWh) is consumed in the community center each year. The energy produced by the new photovoltaic system – 32,000 kWh – amply covers this self-consumption. An urbanization application is not necessary because the social center is located in the area of public buildings and facilities. However, as the community center is located in the heart of the village, the structure needs to be adapted to the urban landscape.
The tax rate should remain unchanged
The loan to be approved for the system is CHF 110,000. According to the embassy, Fricker Pronovo AG can expect to receive a one-off payment of more than CHF 11,500. In addition, the city council received a pledge from Raiffeisenbank Regio Frick-Mettauertal for CHF 25’000 support.
The city council is applying for a loan of CHF 285’000 for the expansion of the sewerage and water supply in Hohlenweg. Sewage and water pipes are to be extended here. The latter is to be connected with two ring closures, one to the rain basin and one to the Mühlelrain.
In addition, the city council is seeking approval of the 2023 budget. The tax rate remains unchanged from the previous year at 114%. A spending surplus of 145,778 francs is expected. (dka)
