The City Council defends World Mental Health Day and supports Asaenes in its employability and social awareness campaign

The delegate of the Area of ​​Preferential Care Neighborhoods and Social Rights of the Seville City Council, José Luis García, attended the event organized by Asaenes Salud Mental Sevilla on the occasion of World Health Day, which is celebrated annually on October 10. This year, the entity has organized an information table on employability and social awareness in the Apeadero room of the Town Hall, to develop the campaign that Mental Health Spain has launched with the motto “Work and mental health, a fundamental link.”

During the event, García thanked the joint work with Asaenes within the municipal network in caring for homeless people. Along these lines, the mayor has highlighted the work carried out by the Seville City Council with people who are homeless, among other initiatives “we address dual pathologies, addictions and mental health, to strengthen our intervention and achieve success in social inclusion “, the councilor explained.

Furthermore, José Luis García has pointed out that “we are developing programs to reinforce treatment and follow-up of interventions from the CIAM to guarantee mental health care for women. In addition, from the Employment area, we are designing care programs to address mental health in a comprehensive way.”

After the end of the information table, the delegate of Social Rights accompanied members of Asaenes in reading the manifesto for World Mental Health Day in the Plaza de San Francisco and read a proclamation in favor of the social inclusion of people who suffer from these types of disorders.
