The Santa Cruz de Tenerife City Council has awarded the contracting for the execution of the works contained in the technical project to reform the air conditioning of the vessels of the Acidalio Lorenzo swimming pool for an amount greater than 600.000 euros after the agreement reached today in the Governing Board. In this way, the City Council continues with the plan to improve and expand the municipal sports facilities, with the Acidalio Lorenzo swimming pool being one of the priorities of the Sports area directed by Alicia Cebrián.
The head of Sports, Alicia Cebrián, has pointed out that “it is very good news because this way we are going to definitively solve the air conditioning, a problem that has been dragging on for years and that will finally become a reality”, and affirmed that “the Acidalio Lorenzo swimming pool is a very important facility for the city, and for this reason, the determination that it is always in the best conditions to offer the highest quality to all users who come daily ”. The Santa Cruz councilor added that “it is important that the work is going to start soon because this way we anticipate the coldest months that we can have in Santa Cruz, such as those of January, February and March.”
Alicia Cebrián also assured that “it is true that in the coldest time of this year 2021, we were always very aware of the water temperature and together with the company that today maintains the pool, a great job, because it was achieved that the water temperature was always in the degrees required to swim in conditions, as required by the regulations ”.
“The action consists of repairing the pool heat pumps that are in poor condition, for which a joint action of air conditioning and hot water production is necessary taking advantage of the existing solar panels and thus definitively solve the problems of water temperature ”, according to municipal technicians.
The Governing Board awarded the company UTE ECOCIVIL ELECTROMUR GE, SL IMESAPI, SA the contract for the execution of the works contained in the technical project for an amount during the entire term of the contract of 628,601.65 euros. The execution period of the action is 2 months from the formalization of the contract, which will be in a few days, since they must first formalize the UTE.
