At a time when all of society knows that every city in the country is fighting to survive under the worst conditions they have been asked to face in recent years , as they struggle to maintain the public character of their critical departments with major demands and demand the hiring of permanent staff and an increase in resources, we cannot understand the state of tension that the administration of the OTA Staff Association Ioannina tries to create.
First, and after the municipal authority accepted the proposal submitted by the workers regarding the operating procedure of waste collection to give the permits to the workers, the Association issued a statement in which he basically blames the city for accepting this proposal!
And as if that were not enough, out of the blue the management of the Association decides to propose a strike to the workers on the removal of garbage tonight demanding that they be informed of the intentions of the senior -a factor in the recruitment of workers.
The desire of the City Authority is not the unnecessary conflict with the workers who certainly do not serve either their own interests or the interests of the citizens.
The City Authority wants the battle for a better tomorrow for the municipalities, management and employees.
We will come together to achieve our goals with the main goal of improving the quality of life of our fellow citizens.
