April 13 The Central Election Commission (CEC) has issued forms for collecting voter signatures for the legislative initiative of the citizens of the Republic of Lithuania regarding personal income tax law no. IX-1007 for the representatives of the 21st amendment.
Initiative group in two months, until 2023. on June 13, must collect 50 thousand signatures of citizens of the Republic of Lithuania with the right to vote regarding the amendment of Article 21 of the Personal Income Tax Law of the Republic of Lithuania.
From April 13 it is also possible to sign for this citizens’ initiative electronically on the CEC information services portal “Voter Page”.

Sheets with citizens’ signatures must be returned to the CEC no later than the last day of this term, 2023. June 13, until 5 p.m.
After collecting the required number of signatures by the set date, the CEC will check and count the signatures collected both electronically and on paper signature collection sheets within 15 days from the day of their receipt.
After the inspection procedure, the CEC must submit a conclusion to the Seimas whether the citizens’ signatures and the method of their collection meet the requirements of legal acts. After the Seimas receives a conclusion from the CEC that the collected signatures meet the requirements of legal acts, the draft initiative is registered on the day of receipt of the conclusion.
In such a case, if the required number of signatures of citizens of the Republic of Lithuania were not collected within two months, the draft initiative would not be considered in the Seimas.
The initiative group for the implementation of the citizens’ legislative initiative consisted of 14 citizens of the Republic of Lithuania with the right to vote. April 6 This initiative group was approved at the CEC meeting act of registration.
