the Cité du train looks at 50 years of history

A few weeks ago, no one could guarantee the reception of the slightest visitor on the morning of June 12 at 2, rue Alfred-de-Glehn in Mulhouse. “We just knew that June 12, 2021 was to mark the start of the fiftieth anniversary celebrations, with the launch of a website dedicated to this anniversary,” says Julien Prodorutti, marketing, communication and development manager.

As soon as the dates of the deconfinement were confirmed, the reception gauges reassembled – “with 60,000 m² of exhibition space, we are not too worried” calculates the director Sylvain Vernerey -, it was necessary to imagine a wagon of ‘animations. Due to a lack of cash flow in recent weeks, the sound and light project was put in the deposit. But the team has worked hard to put together guided tours, give gifts, offer immersive tours and even leave the walls of the Cité du train.
