The information center on the rights of women and families has opened two offices in the municipalities of Lauzerte and Verdun-sur-Garonne. And the CIDFF is preparing many meetings around the date of March 8.
The CIDFF is an association specializing in the fight against violence against women. Although its main premises are located in Montauban, it has branches and offices in various towns in the Tarn-et-Garonne area. This is particularly the case in Moissac, Castelsarrasin and Valence-d’Agen.
Recently, the structure has also developed in Lauzerte and Verdun-sur-Garonne (1). A lawyer will be on duty, by appointment. “Every last Monday of the month from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Maison des solidarités in Verdun, and every last Tuesday of the month from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Quercy Pays-de-Serres association, in Lauzerte”, reveals Leïla Athmani, director of the Montalbanaise association.

“The idea is to go everywhere, even in rural areas, to people in need, to women who are isolated, to inform them of their rights and to support them in their efforts,” said the leader. .
Among the many actions organized by the CIDFF, Leïla Athmani also recalls the resumption of the “Plaine Emploi” action on March 6th. “This action is aimed at women in a vulnerable situation, the furthest from employment and facing social isolation. It alternates between individual and collective support (self-defense, digital, self-esteem, public speaking.)” and is provided in the premises of the association “Move to get out of it, in Montauban”.

Another event that needs no introduction: March 8, International Women’s Rights Day. Of course, the CIDFF, as well as several other associations gathered in the Women’s Rights 82 collective, will mobilize on that day. On the program: distribution of leaflets at Montauban station, between 6:30 and 8:30 am and holding a stand on the Place Lalaque market with distribution of flyers. At noon, the collective will release balloons.
Finally, on March 24, also note that a collective information meeting is organized, in Caussade, on the theme of separation. Keys on the steps to be taken, the daily organization, the management of the children, will be given to the participants to help them overcome this ordeal (2).
