Within its annual calendar, the Lebanese Wushu Kung Fu Federation organized a Christmas tournament with the participation of 60 male and female players representing the following clubs: Antonine Baabda, Sadaka Anjar, Abba Bourj Hammoud, Respect Rahba Akkar, Luaco Kaslik , Sporting High Beirut and Saydet Al Louaize Zouk Mosbeh. The matches took place in the stadiums of the Antonine Club in Baabda, in the presence of the President of the Federation, Dr. Georges Noseir, his deputy, Jack Taglian, the Secretary Bassam Nohra, the Treasurer and the Head of the Styles Committee (Taulo) Patricia Zidan, Technical Committee member Charbel Wanes, and coach Samer Al-Rumaili.
In his address to the participants, Dr. Naseer explained: “This method of sport is considered the most difficult. Your participation shows that you are on a steady path in the world of sport.” And he thanked “the parents for the sacrifices they make in these circumstances in which we live towards their children and towards the federation, and they deserve the credit for the success of any sporting action”. Then he congratulated the team composed of Jason Ibikian and Gael Hanakash, who participated in the World Age Group Championship held in Indonesia in the styles and despite all the limited abilities, we managed to distinguish ourselves in the top twenty players among participating countries.
Subsequently, Grandmaster Michel Hawi was honored for spreading the Tai Noi style in several European countries, the latest being Greece, where Hawi taught numerous courses and belt diplomas. Subsequently, Susi Kazandjian received an instructor certificate after passing the examination by the examination board. The medals were also presented to the third place winners in the Asian Third Championship via the IFRC website, which are Rebecca Gideon, Joe Hashem and Anila Balsa. Finally, cups and prizes were distributed to the winners, and the club ranking was as follows:
Antony Baabda finished first with 159 points, Al-Sadaqa Anjar finished second with 87 points and Respect Rahbah finished third with 60 points.
