The Chinese Table Tennis Team Brings Home Third Consecutive Asian Games Medal

The Chinese table tennis team in the Hangzhou Asian Games is sure to win medals for the third consecutive year. Today, the men’s team defeated the Hong Kong team in straight games in the quarterfinals. In the quarterfinals, they will meet the devil-level mainland China team. Since there is no bronze medal match for snooker, advancing to the top four will guarantee a bronze medal. This is also the third consecutive Asian Games for the Chinese delegation to have medals in the men’s snooker team.

This year’s men’s table tennis team is composed of Lin Yunru, Zhuang Zhiyuan, Liao Zhenjue, Huang Yancheng and Peng Wangwei. It won the first place in the group match 2, got a bye in the first round of the top 16 knockout round, and met Hong Kong in the top 8.

The Chinese team was led by veteran Zhuang Zhiyuan. Facing Huang Zhenting, they won 3 consecutive games after losing 1 game first and won 11:13, 11:8, 11:8, 11:3; at the second point, Lin Yunru faced He Junjie, after a stalemate in the first game, won in three straight games, 12:10, 11:7, 11:5.

At the third point, Liao Zhenjue went into battle to face Lin Zhaoheng. The battle ended at 11:8, 11:8, 11:8, and the Chinese team advanced to the top four.

The Chinese team brought back bronze medals for the men’s table tennis team in Incheon in 2014 and Jakarta in 2018. By winning this battle, they are sure to win medals for the third consecutive time. If they want to challenge for better results, they must pass the test of the landlord mainland China in the next game. .
