The Chinese probe has completed its lunar soil sampling – archyworldys

On Thursday, the Chinese space agency confirmed that the probe sent to an unexplored area of the moon, dubbed Change’5, has finally completed its mission. Indeed, it was to take samples of lunar soil in order to bring them back to Earth, in order to allow scientists to study them.

In a press release, the Chinese space agency simply confirmed that the probe, which arrived last Tuesday on the lunar star, simply carried out its mission. A short and concise press release therefore. In fact, Change’5 is expected to bring back up to two kilos of moon rock within the next few weeks. In order to bring back as many, it would have to dig up to two meters deep.

China confirms Change’5 success

These lunar rocks should make it possible to add new data to those already recorded around the Moon. The probe is expected on Earth by mid-December. It should, in all likelihood, land in Inner Mongolia. A success that erases the failure encountered by the Luna 24 mission, led in 1976 by the Soviet regime.

Space race

A technological feat for China which therefore continues to make its mark in the conquest of space. Indeed, by 2030, Beijing plans to send astronauts to the moon. A mission which would mark the return of humans to the star of our Earth and which demonstrates that space now enjoys geopolitical importance. Besides Beijing, the Usa, under the leadership ofElon Musk, plans to send men to Mars by the end of the decade.
