Jinping in his message said the landings marked an important step in China’s interstellar exploration and a leap from exploration of the Earth-Moon system to interplanetary exploration.

“The landing left China’s mark on Mars for the first time. This is another important advance in the development of China’s space industry,” Xi Jinping was quoted as saying Xinhua.

Jinping said the country and the people of China will always remember this remarkable achievement.

“Thanks to your courage in facing challenges and pursuing excellence, China is now among the leading countries in planetary exploration,” Jinping said in his message.

Jinping emphasizes organizing and implementing scientific exploration and exploration on Mars with care, adhering to independence in sci-tech development, and encouraging major space projects including planetary exploration.

He also called for increasing China’s power in space technology and making new and bigger contributions to exploring the mysteries of the universe and promoting the noble cause of peace and human development.

The Tianwen-1 aircraft, consisting of an orbiter, lander and rover, was launched from the Wenchang Space Shuttle Launch Site on the coast of the southern Chinese island province of Hainan on July 23, 2020, with the aim of completing the orbiter, landing and exploration of the planet Mars in one. mission.

The spacecraft entered Mars orbit in February 2021 and spent about three months surveying the planet.

The successful landing marked China’s first landing on a space planet and made it the second country on a successful Mars landing.
