The executive vice president of the brand confirmed the preparations for the construction of the first BYD factory in Europe. But in the end, there doesn’t have to be just one.
While sales of European brands in the Chinese market are slowly declining, Chinese automakers are gaining experience in the European markets. Several pioneers are already offering their models here, but automaker BYD is even preparing to build its own factory. Stella Li, who holds the post of executive vice president of the automaker, was expected to confirm this in an interview with Bloomberg.

BYD wants to tailor the location selection for the new plant to the fastest possible increase in production. The company is now in a stage where it is acquiring its own carrier vessels to export electric cars from China to Europe – traditional carrier companies were unable to meet the automaker’s needs.
At the same time, he plans to create two luxury brands next year. One should offer luxury SUVs and sports cars. The second brand should revolve around fashion and style. It should be aimed at people for whom cars are a hobby.
In September, BYD announced plans to offer three models to the European market. In two cases it will be an SUV, namely BYD Atto 3 and Tang. The third model will be the BYD Han sports sedan. At the same time, the company also offers the Atto 3 model in Australia, Japan, India, the Dominican Republic and many other global markets.
