China threatens Switzerland with a deterioration of relations if it accepts EU sanctions against the People’s Republic. “If Switzerland takes sanctions and the situation evolves in an uncontrolled direction, Sino-Swiss relations will suffer,” the Chinese ambassador to Bern, Wang Shihting, told the newspaper “NZZ am Sonntag”.
