Children playing with firecrackers have started a fire in a playground in the Upper Palatinate. A climbing frame caught fire and was badly damaged, police said on Sunday. A patrol found some children between the ages of eight and ten on the playground in Weiden handling firecrackers. The playground was temporarily closed after the fire on Saturday. The police estimated the damage at around 1,800 euros.
