The mother went for a walk on Sunday afternoon in the center of Pardubice. According to rescuers, the child, who was riding on a bouncer, lost his balance and went down into the river, where he began to drown.

“My mother, even though she couldn’t swim on her own, immediately jumped into the river and tried to pull the child out. However, in the ensuing confusion, a pram with a second child also went into the water, “said rescue spokesman Aleš Malý.

Unfortunately, he saw a man walking by and immediately went to his aid. He pulled the children out with the mother. Rescuers stated that both children were slightly hypothermic, and after securing them, they were taken to a Pardubice hospital in a stable condition.
