To live as long as possible, improve metabolism and avoid dangerous diseases, Professor Lasting advises everyone without exception:

eat as little sugar as possibleincluding adding);

reduce the flow of sugar from the intestines to the liver – for this it is worth eating more fiber;

include in the diet foods rich in choline: they will help improve the transport of lipids from the liver;

do not forget physical activity: both young and old should have it.
But what about fruit?
The added sugar obviously harms the body. But when it comes to sweet fruit, that’s a completely different story, says Professor Lasting.
– Fruit contains both soluble and insoluble fiber. It prevents the absorption of fructose in the small intestine.Furthermore, the fiber moves to the large intestine, where it becomes food for the microbiota. So the fruits are good. And fruit juices are bad. Packaged juices act as the engine of the metabolic syndrome, concluded the expert.
But fruit is still not worth abusing – an abundance of pears, bananas, apples in the diet can lead to bloating, diarrhea and digestive problems. And yes, they have sugar too: if there is too much of it, it will too it can harm your health.
