The chief prosecutor requested the immunity of Ceyhan Ibryamov ᐉ News from Fakti.bg – Bulgaria

IF The Chief Prosecutor Borislav Sarafov submitted a request to the National Assembly to remove the immunity of the MP from the Federation for Rights and Freedoms Ceyhan Ibryamov. The goal – continuing criminal proceedings against him. The recommendation is from the Sofia City Prosecutor’s Office.

The People’s Representative has been brought to criminal responsibility for two offences:

1. In the month of October 2019 in the city Sofia has requested and accepted a gift that is not payable to him – the sum of BGN 20,000 to influence the decisions of an official from the Ministry of Health related to his office – to give permission to give the market. to a biological organization (crime under Article 304b, paragraph 1, item 1 of the Criminal Code).

2. On 26.09.2024 in the city of Sofia, with the aim of obtaining for himself the benefit of real estate (a sum of money in the amount of 400,000 BGN), MT woke up a fraud if he gives him the amount of BGN 400,000, without it will influence the decisions of officials from the Ministry of Defense regarding their public procurement service. On 02.10.2024 in the city Sofia, Blvd. “General Totleben”, in a store parking lot, held this illusion in MT. and attempted to cause property damage in large amounts (100,000 BGN), and the attempt remained unfinished for reasons beyond Ibryamov’s control – only after he took from MT. the amount BGN 100,000. to be held by officers of the State Police – Ministry of the Interior (crime under Art. 210, para. 1, item 5, para. 209, para. 1, para. 18, para. 2, para. 1 of the Criminal Code ).

The prosecutor’s office specifies, in the materials provided to the National Assembly, that the evidence collected so far, includes physical evidence collected by intelligence methods special, connected.

The criminal proceedings against Ibryamov were suspended on 11 November due to his immunity as a deputy in the new parliament. According to the Constitution, it is not possible to restart the proceedings and continue the investigation with the consent of the National Assembly or with the written consent of the relevant national representative.
