National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo and Trade Minister Muhammad Lutfi check the factory cooking oil Of North Jakarta. The factory visited this time is PT Bina Karya Prima Gudang Ex Hargas.
“Today, I and the Minister of Trade have a direct review of the process starting from the DMO policy (domestic market obligation) which was decided by him (the Minister of Trade). We talk to CPO producers (crude palm oil) who has the DMO obligation earlier,” said the National Police Chief at the location, Tuesday (15/3/2022).
PT Bina Karya Prima Gudang Ex Hargas, explained the National Police Chief, has received CPO from producers for Rp 9,100 and processed and then sold according to the highest retail price (HET) set by the government, Rp 14,000.
“The current production process can be twice as much as usual and this is of course our record. I will carry out more checks in other areas to make sure that the DMO-related policies that have been conveyed are already running,” Listyo continued.
“We will check again regarding the phenomenon in the market where the price jumps, while directly from the factory the price remains in accordance with the government by getting DMO supply and also doubling production,” he continued.
The National Police Chief said his party would check other factories. The check is related to cooking oil production.
Trade Minister Lutfi spoke up. According to him, the policy domestic market obligation and domestic price obligation can walk well.
“In the last 28 days, more than 500 million liters of cooking oil have been collected in the community, but the situation is that even though the goods are available, the prices are not appropriate,” said Lutfi.
Even so, he did not deny the potential for fraud in society. He promised that his party would take firm action against the cooking oil mafia.
“Nowadays, it is possible that because of high world prices, people who previously did not think about cheating can cheat. Well, this is what we are checking and we are warning, especially for cooking oil mafias who are trying to get a momentary profit. , we will come and we will arrange it and we will brush together,” he explained.
