The Head of Staff of Korem (Kasrem) 174/ATW Merauke Colonel Arh Hamim Tohari was caught playing a cellphone during an online meeting. Commander TNI General Andika Perkasa also gave a stern warning.
The moment Andika scolded his subordinates was recorded in video footage that was spread on social media.
“Mas Hamim, look at me. This is Mas Hamim, right, in Merauke? You don’t have to look at your cellphone,” Andika said in the video, quoted Friday (12/3).
Andika then said that he didn’t talk often so his subordinates should focus on paying attention, not playing with their cellphones.
With a high tone, Andika then asked Hamim to move the cell phone that he was caught using.
“Mas Hamim, slide the phone!” Andika said with a rising tone.
“Ready immediately,” answered Hamim.
However, Hamim’s move did not make Andika melt. He actually became even more furious because the phone was still within range of the meeting screen.
“To the left, [lebih] far,” said Andika.
In that moment, Andika’s face looked even more furious. Andika also confirmed her sitting position once in a while after reprimanding Hamim.
The four-star general then asked Hamim to repeat what he had just told him.
“Try again, what did I just say?” asked Andika.
Hearing this question, Hamim was silent and did not repeat what Andika said in the meeting. Seeing Hamim’s behavior, Andika was furious and reprimanded him.
“Mas Hamim, repeat!” Andika said.
Stumbling, Hamim answered Andika. “Ready, ready, father,” answered Hamim.
Andika then alluded to the XVII/Cenderawasih Military Commander Major General Ignatius Yogo Triyono and Merauke’s 174th Danrem Brigadier General Bangun Nawoko.
“See that, mas Yogo, see. Mas wakes up, look at that his subordinates, mas wake up. That’s the quality,” said Andika.
Regarding this incident, the Head of the TNI Information Center, Maj. Gen. Praantara Santoso, or Kapendam XVII/Cenderawasih Lt. Col. Arm Reza Nur Patria, have not made further statements.
