The Concert Music Festival, in the town of Sancti Petri in Chiclana, while already preparing its eighth edition for 2025 (announcing another preview of artists, including Raphael, Miguel Bosé, Camela or Residente) has just learned that its celebration is assured at least four more summers.
In this sense, the Local Government Board of the City Council has just approved the award to the company Concert Music Festival Sancti Petri AIE of the contract for the granting of authorization for the conditioning and exploitation of the space for musical events in the town. of Sancti Petri until 2028. In this way, the promoters who have been organizing this successful series of concerts since 2018 renew the contract and will continue for four more years, for now.
The signing of the contract, which is conditional on the authorization of the occupation of the land by the Junta de Andalucía, an administrative procedure that is about to be completed (in fact, in recent years the Andalusian administration also sponsors the event, together to the Provincial Council), will take place in the near future, “since the next editions do not represent any change with respect to the structure and format that the festival has had in the past.”
Concert Music Festival Sancti Petri AIE, the only firm that has participated in the competition (as expected), has obtained the highest score, since technically the management and operation project of the facilities has been assessed with the highest possible rating and, therefore On the other hand, the Contracting Board, in accordance with the evaluation criteria, has verified compliance with the established minimum fee, the advertising and promotional investment of the festival and the actions to promote local musical talent.
By this document, promoters are obliged to design a program that meets various requirements such as containing a minimum of 40 performances and/or musical events per season (between the second half of July and the second half of August). In the last edition, about 50 shows were offered that added up to “more than 180,000 spectators.”
“QUALITY LEISURE OFFER”
In this regard, in a statement sent to DIARIO Bahía de Cádiz, Mayor José María Román emphasizes the importance of renewing this contract due to “the quality leisure offering” that Concert Music offers not only in Chiclana, but throughout the Bahía de Cádiz. : “Thanks to this festival, Chiclana has become a benchmark every summer in terms of concerts, with an increasingly powerful offer that has opened the doors to tourism that seeks this type of leisure every summer”.
And in recent times the competition in the region is fierce, with high-level events such as the Bahía Sound in San Fernando, the Tío Pepe Festival in Jerez, or the concerts in the port of Cádiz (including the veteran NoSinMúsica).
THE FIRST NAMES OF THE 2025 POSTER
In October, the organization already announced the first name of Concert Music 2025: the “international superstar” Lionel Richie will perform on the main stage of the fishing village on July 26, presenting live ‘Say hello to the hits’, “a show never before seen to date.”
And now he has revealed a dozen more names for the coming summer line-up: the acclaimed Cuban duo Gente de Zona (July 3), the veteran Swedish band Europe (July 6), the tireless Raphael with his show ‘Raphaelisimo’ ( July 12), the Puerto Rican Jhayco (July 17), and the controversial Miguel Bosé in his return to the stage after eight years of absence (July 19).
Also joining the program: Camela with her show ‘+de 30’ (July 24), the award-winning rapper and composer Residente (July 31), the double concert by Mikel Izal and the duo Merino (August 1), Amaia surrounded by “emotionality and a careful staging” (August 7), the Tenerife rapper Cruz Cafuné (August 12) and Los Secretos and their songs “that have transcended as anthems in the collective imagination” (August 13).
