The Chicago stock market closes lower this week while Euronext keeps the prices of the main cereals stable

The improvement in weather conditions in South America is mainly responsible for the drops with which the Chicago stock market closed this week, while stability dominates the situation in the Euronext European market.

WHEAT

Yesterday, Friday, March 19, Euronext closed the price of a ton of common wheat, for delivery in May, at 220.25 euros per ton after a slight break of € 0.25, while that same figure fell the items destined to September to stand at 197 euros.

On the contrary, in the Chicago stock market there was a decrease in the last session for the bushel of 27 kilos of delivery in May of 1.48% going from 5.36 euros to 5.28.

CORN

The ton of corn in Euronext increased this week by 50 cents for June deliveries to 216 euros, and it also did so for August deliveries to 215 euros per ton.

The 25-kilo bushel marked a downward price in the Chicago market, losing 2.06% in the session of March 18, going from 4.67 euros to 4.57

SOY

Also on the downside, in Chicago, soybeans closed with a significant loss of 1.80% in the 27-kilo bushel, falling from 11.87 euros to 11.65 euros.

COLZA

In Euronext, the ton of rape fell 2.25 euros for May deliveries to 502.75 euros per ton while the decrease is 25 cents for August to 435 euros.
