The cheaper edition of the Galaxy A73 5G is the Galaxy M53 5G

The officially unveiled Samsung Galaxy M53 5G nonetheless retains the 108-megapixel main camera.

Samsung has recently officially unveiled the Galaxy M53 5G-t, whose main positives are the 108-megapixel main camera and the 6.7-inch, 120-Hz Super AMOLED Plus display. It’s basically a discounted release of the Galaxy A73 5G, however, instead of the Snapdragon 778G chip, the MediaTek Dimensity 900 has been added to this model. This has not been confirmed by Samsung itself, the specifics of the chips are rarely confirmed.

The Galaxy M53 5G brings 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, but the latter can be expanded with microSD. The big downside is that there is no more optical image stabilization here, and the ultra-wide camera is only 8 megapixels instead of 12. The third and fourth cameras are only 2-2 megapixels, their task can be solved with software, so they are basically an ornament. The selfie camera is 32 megapixels.

The fingerprint reader has moved sideways anyway, and the 5,000 mAh battery handles a 25-watt fast charge. Due to the Dimensity chip, there is only Wi-Fi 5 support. Prices and release dates by region are not yet known.
