After several months of closure, the Château du Plessis-Macé, located about twenty minutes from Angers, has just reopened its doors. For this new season, visitors will notably be able to discover an interpretation trail. Two kilometers long, it invites the curious to discover the flora that makes up the natural space surrounding the Château du Plessis-Macé. A route designed by the Department of Maine-et-Loire, accessible all year round.
From this Saturday, April 9 and until May 22, the castle is open to visitors on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays. The opportunity to discover this historic place whose origins date back to the 11th century. It is possible to freely visit the vast exteriors of the castle, the walkway and the small medieval garden.
Guided tours
For history buffs, guided tours are offered on Wednesdays at 3 p.m. and 4 p.m., Saturdays and Sundays at 3 p.m., 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. An accompanied visit with a mediator and a sign language interpreter will be offered on Saturday April 23 at 2 p.m.
Entertainment for the holidays
The Château du Plessis-Macé invites you from April 11 to 22 for many family activities: visit of the princesses and knights with 3-6 year olds (Monday 11, Friday April 15 and 22 at 10 a.m.), À pas contés , a stroll with the storyteller Orion whose tales took flight with 4-9 year olds (Thursdays April 14 and 21 at 11 a.m.), Macé treasure hunt with 7-12 year olds (Wednesdays April 13 and 20 at 11 a.m. ), but also board game tournaments from 12 years old (Fridays 15 and 22 April at 10 a.m.).
