Anyone looking for an apartment in New York will be happy. Rental apartments are as cheap as they were last almost ten years ago. The median apartment in Manhattan was paid $ 2957 per month in November. Including discounts – such as free months – it was only $ 2,743. That is 22% less than in November last year.
The decline is hardly surprising. Cultural life in New York is deeply asleep, and most of the office towers are empty. There is no trace of the pulsating life of the metropolis. Manhattan suffers particularly from this. At 15,130, three times as many apartments are available as in the previous year.
