The 17th G20 Summit was held in Bali. This event was attended not only by the heads of state, but also by the First Lady. Among the First Ladies who attended the event were Kim Keon Hee, Emine Erdogan, Peng Liyuan, Maria Begona Gomez Fernandez and Yuko Kishida.

The elegant style of the First Lady immediately stole a lot of attention from the public. In particular during the Welcome Dinner, where the VVIP guests were present dressed in Klungkung, the typical Balinese catri fabric.
According to the website of the Ministry of the Secretariat of State, the cloth used by the guests was an innovation by Putu Agus Aksara Diantika. This fabric is made using the Ikat weaving technique Handmade by artisans of the village of Gelgel in order not to leave the authenticity of the Klungkung Endek fabric. The motifs used are also inspired by the beauty of the archipelago’s flora, full of colors and meanings.
