On August 30, 2022, as part of the sixth week of the Dana White Candidates Series, the girl fought another Brazilian, Maria Silva. At that time, many experts considered the more experienced South American to be the favorite, who, by the age of 26, continued to move through her career without defeat, having a record of eight victories.
The Russian woman also had no defeats, but only with five victories according to the rules of MMA. However, the lack of experience was not the main problem of Victoria. She had to go to the fight with a leg injury, and even at the weigh-in there were difficulties. The Russian woman had to completely undress to meet the weight.
According to her coach Gasanali Gasanaliev, even her own manager did not believe in the girl. Dudakova promised to show everything she could before the fight and hoped that the world would appreciate her.
“We really put everything on the line. My coach borrowed a large amount of money for us to come here, because living in the USA for a month is very expensive and we have nothing in Russia. And this was our last chance, I would have fought, no matter what the injury was, ”Victoria told Match TV.

Dudakova tried to take advantage of her chance from the first seconds. The fight started, and under the approving exclamations of the coach, she rushed at her opponent. Having made the transfer at the very beginning of the battle, the Russian woman got the opportunity to build on her success. It was not possible to make a submission or take an opponent to a choke, but even without that the situation was developing successfully.
Victoria followed the coach’s instructions, scoring points, but she failed to keep Silva on the canvas until the end of the round. However, at the end of the round, another transfer was performed by the representative of our country: she took the first segment without any questions.

At the beginning of the second round, it seemed that the confrontation would continue in the same vein. However, after a successful attack in the standing position, Victoria suddenly found herself on the canvas. Silva was successful in the transfer, for a minute and a half she controlled the Russian woman, now and then treating her with painful blows. It seemed that now Maria would prove to everyone that what happened in the first round was an accident.
And yet, the opponent could not find an opportunity for an early victory in the stalls: the referee returned the fight to the standing position, and there Dudakova also managed to chalk up another takedown. In the second segment of the fight, there was no need to talk about the dominance of our athlete, but this was not the main problem. In one episode, she stumbled and appeared to aggravate her leg injury.

During the break, the referee asked if the girl would continue the fight. Dudakova did not even think of refusing and diligently convinced everyone that she was in perfect order. True, when the third round started, the opponent did everything possible to make the Russian woman regret her decision. Having missed several painful blows, Victoria managed to once again transfer the confrontation to the ground.
Our athlete even tried to strangle her opponent. This was not possible, but control over the duel was again in the hands of Victoria. From the corner sounded encouraging: “Your contract should be.” The coach no longer doubted that all the adventures were not in vain.
And indeed, the contract went to Dudakova, although even after the victory she was not completely sure of this. Still, it didn’t work out spectacularly, and Dana White prefers bright fighters …
