The changes in the Constitution are an imitation for Brussels –

/ world today news/ “No one can predict what the rulers will do – whether they will withdraw the bill or introduce a new one. BSP does not support the proposed changes in the Constitution and we have no arguments to change our position”.

This was stated by the deputy chairman of the PG of BSP LEFT BULGARIA Kornelia Ninova in “More of the day” on BNT. She was categorical that this is an imitation of change for Brussels, and perhaps also for the Bulgarian citizens. According to her, there could have been a real change if the people’s representatives had not lost those 8 months and the ruling party had accepted the BSP’s position that the change should take place through the procedural laws. “The strategy for reform, which we also supported, set the goal of making the judicial process faster, the decisions of the court depending only on the law and the evidence in the case and not dependent on money and those in power,” she said categorically. According to her, this goal will not be achieved by changing the Constitution, but can be achieved by changing the Law on the Judiciary, the Civil Code and the Code of Criminal Procedure. “DPS announced that they would support alternative proposals for reform, and ABV suggested that we accept a declaration, which is a political move and has no legal value,” said the People’s Representative. Ninova emphasized that the BSP wants a real change through the procedural laws, which will be felt by the people, and she was categorical that only the change in the SJC will not lead to this. “In front of Brussels, it is claimed that a reform is being made, but the laws are quietly changing in the opposite direction”, she explained.

Bulgaria has good laws, but the problem is their implementation

“We do not agree with increasing the retirement age and length of service to 65 years and 40 years of service. This cannot happen in practice, because in recent years, with this gray sector in the economy, people who have worked without insurance, simply to make a living, cannot have 40 years of experience”, said Kornelia Ninova. She explained that this means that at 25 a person has already started work and has not missed a single day of internship. She added that because of these changes, many Bulgarians will not have the opportunity to retire at all. “Little is said about the fact that in the proposed amendments the years will continue to grow even after 65 – each year by as much as the life expectancy has increased,” announced the People’s Representative. She specified that there is a category of people who are at pre-retirement age, but the employers do not accept them, but they are young for pension. “For them, we suggest that they retire earlier with a lower pension,” she added, adding that for all these measures they should money and the BSP indicates where it will come from. “They can come from increasing the maximum insurance threshold to 10 minimum wages, increasing the rate for the “Unemployment” fund, since it is still very high, increasing the insurance contribution” , Ninova explained. She is adamant that there are good laws in Bulgaria, but the problem is their implementation.
