Yesterday, the LFP competitions commission decided to sanction the Chamois Niortais club for a match lost against Valenciennes.
The match of December 22 could not take place because of cases of Covid-19 and other suspected in the workforce of the Niortais. The LFP decided yesterday to sanction Mikaël Hanouna’s club for a match lost on the green carpet for the benefit of Valenciennes who had made the trip to Deux-Sèvres. Today, the Chamois have communicated and reserve the right to appeal the decision. “The Professional Football League after examination in committee gave the Chamois Niortais a lost game on the green carpet, obviously for excess of caution. The club reaffirms its choice to prioritize safety and to follow medical advice in all circumstances. The Chamois Niortais are awaiting notification of this decision to consider the advisability of a possible appeal “, indicates the club press release.
