The chairman of the board of “Citadeles” resigns

In a statement to the board, Okerblum expresses his gratitude for the six years spent at Citadele bank, during which the bank has achieved significant success, and states that it is not an easy decision, but he has decided to resign for personal reasons.

Aiga Volksone, head of the Marketing and Corporate Communication Department of “Citadele” Bank, informs that the bank will look for a suitable successor as soon as possible.

Until then, Okerblum will continue to perform the duties of the head of the bank.

Board members Ruta Ezerskiene, Vaids Žagūnis, Slavomirs Mizaks, Vladislavs Mironovs, Jūlija Lebedinska-Litvinova and Valters Ābele also work on the board of Bank “Citadele”.

It has already been announced that the bank “Citadele” worked with a profit of 91.7 million euros last year, which is 2.2 times more than in 2022.

According to the amount of assets, “Citadele” bank was the third largest bank in Latvia at the end of 2023. Its bonds are included in the list of debt securities of the “Nasdaq Riga” stock exchange. Approximately 75% of the shares of the bank “Citadele” belong to an international group of investors and other minority shareholders, represented by the investment company “Ripplewood Advisors LLC”. The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development owns almost 25% of the shares.
