After the ceremonial handing over, the Chain Bridge picnic starts at 6:00 p.m. and lasts until midnight, organized by the Metropolitan Municipality and the BKK, with educational programs, street musicians, food and drink, and light lions. in the announcement. The Chain Bridge will be closed to road traffic for the duration of the event, so passers-by and participants can have a picnic on the roadway undisturbed.
In its announcement, the BKK emphasizes that at the tents set up on the Buda and Pest sides, ice cream, pretzels and lemonade are waiting for visitors, while supplies last, as well as concerts by live music performers. They added that in the children’s tent on the Pest side, the organizers are preparing coloring, puzzles, a special Chain Bridge LEGO building, and a surprise.
