Martin St-Louis’ team will try to curb its four-game losing streak, even if it does well with reconstruction supporters, who are praying for the first draft pick. The CH almost won its last game, but lost 4-3 in a shootout against the Carolina Hurricanes on Tuesday.

Rangers are not faring much better, having lost their last two games. The Big Apple squad was aggressive ahead of the trade deadline, making two big catches: Vladimir Tarasenko and Patrick Kane.

So far, the chemistry hasn’t quite settled in since these changes were made.

Goalkeeper Samuel Montembeault will face the Blueshirts after watching Jake Allen play the last two games. Defender Kaiden Guhle trained with a regular jersey, while fellow defender Jordan Harris will miss the game with a lower-body injury. Justin Barron, for his part, wore a bib prohibiting contact.

This will be the last meeting between the two teams this season. Both teams have won against each other so far.

In addition, forward Jake Evans skated alone in the morning. He remains sidelined with a knee injury sustained Jan. 14.
