Find below the open letter from the CGT Cheminots Dijon union to the attention of the Regional Council of Bourgogne-Franche-Comté and the SNCF TER BFC management:
“The BFC Regional Council has just acquired new Régiolis 6-box trains. After a few weeks of use, serious malfunctions appear for the user and in fact damage the image of the Regional Council, the manufacturer Alstom and the SNCF.
This material is supposed to replace the Corail material on the PLM line. The rendering is very far from the expected, which the CGT had raised before the commissioning of this equipment without having been heard.
All lights are red. The bearable limits in terms of transport conditions for TER BFC users on the Paris Bercy-Lyon Part Dieu line and in terms of working conditions for railway workers have been exceeded. The CGT has very (too) many testimonials and photos of ASCTs, train drivers and users. Many of these photos and testimonials from users can be found on social networks. You will agree that such publicity is disastrous. There is no question of breaking in here!
Among other problems:
- Insufficient facilities for bicycles, making the corridors of already crowded trains impassable.
- insufficient carrying capacity compared to Corail equipment.
- driver training.
Worse, the toilet tanks are notoriously under capacity for users, what is more on a long journey between Paris-Bercy and Lyon Part-Dieu. When the tanks are empty, and they are so very frequently, the toilets are condemned automatically. We witness scenes on board the train that decency prevents us from describing, scenes that we thought were from another century and not necessarily from the 20th. This also has an impact on regularity, proof of which is the many “pee stops” strongly impacting TER regularity. All of these malfunctions raise the question, initially, as long as the problem of insufficient tanks is not resolved, of the use of this new equipment on long journeys such as Paris-Bercy / Lyon Part-Dieu.
It also poses, as the CGT claims, the question, moreover in these conditions, of the systematic accompaniment of trains by ASCTs. Trains with this type of equipment were unaccompanied despite the promise of the Management, leaving the users on their own.
We have noted in the recent “News Letter” from the management of the actions implemented or to be implemented. For the CGT, it is clear that these actions are insufficient and in any case too slow in the results despite the involvement of railway workers.
The CGT is at your disposal to provide its analysis and recommend solutions so that the comfort and even the physiological needs of users are really taken into account. »
