Thanks to the modernization of the network for billions of crowns, Cetin manages to almost double the available speed every two years. Even at the end of 2016, the average download on the connection was 25 Mb/s, last year already 202 Mb/s.
Optics will double the speed of Cetina. A 2Gb/s tariff will come in April
Three things helped. More accurate estimates, more affordable bonding for connecting two lines, as well as the construction of more than a hundred thousand new optical lines. Thanks to them, Cetin is able to connect already 237 thousand housing units at a speed of 1 Gb/s. From April 3, it will be twice as much, i.e. 2 Gb/s in the direction of the user and 1 Gb/s from him.
The number of households with outdated infrastructure capable only of ADSL technology, i.e. at speeds of up to 20 Mb/s, has also decreased. There are only 77,000 of them.
Access to xDSL and optics in Cetina is currently provided by 21 companies, you can check the available speed on the map ZrychlujemeCesko.cz. Even after refinement, this is still roughly indicative, because at my home address it shows a maximum of 50 Mb/s, although thanks to bonding, I run double that completely reliably.
