The traditional labor medal ceremony took place on Thursday December 7 in the heart of the Figeac Aéro factory of the future. 31 employees were honored.

Like every end of the year, the presentation of the labor medals was the subject of a ceremony on Thursday December 7 chaired by Jean-Claude Maillard in person. The CEO-founder of Figeac Aéro once again bowed to tradition, after having “raised his voice” a few hours earlier with around a hundred employees on strike in front of the company’s headquarters. “We will try to find new ways of working to be better tomorrow” committed the business leader determined to stay the course of successful recovery since the deep Covid crisis.
For each of the 31 employees honored this year, Jean-Claude Maillard took care to give them the medal and a diploma, without forgetting each time to give them a little comment on their career in the company or on their job interview . For many, who have been with the Figeac group for around twenty years or more, the CEO remembers having participated in their recruitment. Some were even among the very first employees of the Figeac Aéro adventure launched in January 1989 in a small workshop in Surgié before the installation and development that we know in the Aiguille area.
” Thank you for your confidence. If you are still here, despite the shortcomings we have, that touches me and gives me courage,” concluded Jean-Claude Maillard. At his side, the mayor of Figeac, André Mellinger, praised “the know-how” of the Figeac Aéro employees whom he congratulated. “I’m happy every year to come here. We have become specialists in aeronautical mechanics and we owe that to you.” The elected official wanted to show “his admiration” for Jean-Claude Maillard. “I have sincere admiration, and it is not sycophancy, for what you do for yourself and for Figeac. We know your attachment to Figeac. Just to have kept the name in Figeac Aéro, as mayor, that touches me.”
