The Youth Council of the Central Party invites the political parties participating in the coalition talks to include the increase in study allowances in their plans in order to ensure a dignified student life for students.
“The recent actions of the student councils show that the future government does not intend to fulfill the given promise,” stated the Youth Council of the Central Party, finding it unacceptable and therefore calling on all political parties participating in the coalition negotiations to include the increase in education allowances in their plans.
“Students do not have to work and earn money during university, the state must guarantee them a dignified student life. Increasing the study allowances is an important step to ensure the well-being of students and to support our hopes for the future,” emphasized Valentina Bortnovski, the chairman of the Central Party’s Youth Council.
Noortekogu believes that students are the shapers of the country’s future and they must be provided with the best learning and development conditions so that they can be successful professionals in the future. “Increasing study allowances is one way to achieve this goal,” emphasized the Central Party’s Youth Council.
The Central Party Youth Council calls on everyone to join the fight for students’ rights and their future and to support all efforts aimed at improving education and raising the quality of the learning environment. “Today’s Estonian students should not face difficulties during their studies, and therefore it is necessary to introduce measures to improve their educational conditions and ensure a better future for them,” added the Central Party’s youth council.
