At the meeting of the board of the Lüganus department of the Central Party, it was decided to support the candidacy of Mihhail Kõlvart for the position of the chairman of the party.
Chairman of the Lüganus department of the Central Party Dmitri Dmitriyev said that the Central Party must be brought back to the rise, and Mihhail Kõlvart has proven himself as the mayor of Tallinn and the leader of the Union of Cities and Towns.
“Mikhail Kõlvart’s actions so far give confidence that, as a goal-oriented leader, he will be able to unite the party and lead the Center Party to victory in both the local and Riigikogu elections,” Dmitri Dmitrijev said, adding that Mihhail Kõlvart has received the support of a large number of people in all elections.
The Lüganus department also wants Marika Tuus-Laul, Yana Toom, Anneli Ott, Lauri Laats, Vladimir Svet, Andrei Korobeinik, Vadim Belobrovtsev, Jaan Toots and Mihkel Undrest to be members of the Central Party’s board.
The extraordinary congress of the Center Party will be held on September 10 in the E-Piima sports hall in Paide. The chairman of the party, members of the board of the party, members of the revision committee and the chairman of the court of honor are elected. More than 1,000 delegates are expected in Paide.
