The Perseids, an annual meteor shower, peaked this week, with astrologers saying the best conditions for watching them during Wednesday and Thursday nights. They will be active until August 24. Check out the gallery for Perseid photos from around the world.
“August is also a planetary moon. In addition to the evening, you can see Jupiter and Saturn all night. After midnight Mars is added, in the morning you can see a very bright Dawn, Venus,” said Pavel Suchan, press secretary of the Astronomical Institute of the Academy of Sciences.
