After an extraordinary meeting, which lasted for hours, the Central Election Commission decided to accept the documents for participation in the parliamentary elections in parallel for the supporters of the honorary chairman of the DPS, Ahmed Dogan, and those of Delyan Peevski.
This was decided at a meeting of the CEC, broadcast online, reports “Trud”.
The decision was taken by 8 votes “for” and 3 “against”, specifying that both applications will be recorded at the same time and will not be numbered consecutively.
The CEC discussed and rejected a proposal to change the place where registration documents for parties and coalitions are accepted for participation in the October 27 parliamentary elections.
It was proposed that the CEC send a letter to the Speaker of the National Assembly, Raya Nazaryan, to move the place for receiving the registration documents and instead of the Marble Foyer, it should take place in Hall 1 or Hall 5 of the Parliament.
Among the reasons for the proposal, the CEC indicated that in the morning it was established that documents could not be accepted in a normal environment, as the place for accepting documents was occupied by party representatives.
The motion to move the venue was defeated by a vote of 5 to 6.
